Proof of Citizenship Requirements

Please note that all passengers traveling to Costa Rica require a VALID U.S. PASSPORT to enter the country. Birth certificate and photo ID will not be accepted, and you will be denied boarding.

US and Canadian citizens require a Valid Passport or Original Birth Certificate with raised seal plus a valid government issued photo ID. A hospital certificate with seal and footprints DOES NOT prove citizenship.

Please Note: You will require proper documentation to re-enter the United States as you did to originally enter the U.S. Bring that documentation with you.

Special requirements for children traveling to Mexico:
Children under 18 without both parents must have a notarized letter from the non-accompanying parent stating that they have given consent for the child to leave the country. If one parent is deceased, a copy of the death certificate is necessary. Failure to comply will result in denied boarding.

Special requirements for children traveling to Dominican Republic:
Effective immediately, the Dominican Republic DOES NOT require a letter from the unaccompanying parent givng consent to travel.
